Bush Fire Support
How you can support the bush fire appeal
Published 06 January

As severe bushfires ravage communities across Australia at an unprecedented level, our thoughts are with those affected by this national disaster.

In response to this ongoing crisis, we have teamed up with the Australian Red Cross to establish donation stations at Westpoint. We encourage our community to donate directly to the Australian Red Cross Disaster Relief and Recovery Fund, which is providing vital services on the ground and supporting communities devastated by the fires, via these donation points or donate directly via the Red Cross website here.

In combination with this national fundraising drive we are also partnering with a range of local registered charities to raise funds, supplies and goodwill for those affected by these devastating fires.

Blacktown PCYC is deploying officers to fire affected areas, taking with them essential items to assist those in need.

Goods being collected include:

- Back to school items

- Games & sporting equipment

- Games & sporting equipment

- Non-perishable food

- New clothing inc. socks & jocks

- Toiletries - shampoo, soap, toilet paper

We are looking for your help to put together essential items to support those who have lost everything. If you can assist, please deliver your donations to The Customer Service Desk or Centre Management as soon as possible.

This is only the beginning and we are working out next steps for how we can continue to provide support to the affected communities during this devastating time for our country. To those in our community grieving or those who are supporting the response effort - we are with you now and into the future.

Keep an eye on our Facebook and Instagram pages and website for more information on these local efforts.

Our retail partners are also working hard to support those affected and there are many ways you can get involved.
